COVID-19 changes how International Coastal Cleanup will be conducted along Treasure Coast

Organizers of the International Coastal Cleanup on the Treasure Coast are adjusting plans this year to protect volunteers from COVID-19 by spreading cleanups over multiple days instead of holding one large event. Keep Martin Beautiful and Keep Indian River Beautiful say the extended schedules will allow participants to maintain social distancing while still removing trash from local beaches. The cleanup runs Sept. 19–25 in Martin County and Oct. 12–31 in Indian River County.
